In the mid 1980's, Randy Allen started a devotional newsletter entitled, "The Christian Famer." Producers were overjoyed to receive the free monthly newsletter. By 1986, the U.S. farm economy was severely down and the letter had great impact. Unfortunately, the ministry was only a newsletter and by 1990 had pretty much dwindled out.
In 2002, God impressed the same message on Randy's heart-- only this time the name was to be Spring Rain. After the first issue, over 180 responses were gathered in the first two weeks. In essense, 180 Christians found the free devotional farm letter a blessing! And the sign-up numbers continue to climb.
